Dr. Alfred Luk earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his residency and infectious disease fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and New York University School of Medicine, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tulane University. Dr. Luk specializes in the treatment of infections in patients with immunocompromising conditions and hematological malignancies who undergo immunosuppressive therapies as well as solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He is a member of the American Society of Transplantation and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. His practice and research interests include healthcare associated infections and infectious complications seen in transplant recipients.
